Vilanova updates

Ok, since the English Academy is finished and we didn't want to steal their thunder i'm gonna update how everything is going on in Vilanova.

Grupo 5/14
This is the name of our service project department. Sarah Andrews is in charge of and she's been in touch with the City Hall and the Red Cross to know how we can cooperate with them.
We're gonna start working with impared people, kids and selling things in a market to get money for some projects.
She's working also with some ideas to serve the area.

Elders
We just had finished our elders election process and this is the line up:
- Eugenio Berruezo
- Loles Salmeron
- Sarah Andrews
- Carmelo Tinoco

Conectados (Small Groups)
We're finishing our Conectados season, it's been a very succesfull time praying, sharing and getting deep in our relationship with God.
We're gonna start a new group in september because of new people attending to church wants to experience what Conectados is.

New name and new website
In order to think big and since we don't know when we're gonna move to Vilanova we changed our name to Iglesia Cristiana del Garraf. We've changed Cristiana instead of Protestante because we don't want to close our door to those who don't like other christian churches but don't really know what Protestante really means and would be weird.
Garraf is the name of the area with a population of 136.000 people. The main cities are Vilanova, Sitges, Sant Pere de Ribes and Cubelles.
As we changed our name we have new web address now you can find us at www.iglesiadelgarraf.com, the website is now almost finished.

New building
Julian is doing a great job rethinking some things and getting the new building more practical and fitting more people.

Prayers request
1. Leader
2. Vision and wisdom for the elders team
3. Vision and Wisdom for the executive team
4. Money and help for the new building
5. Grupo 5/14
6. Conectados
7. Reaching outsiders
8. Reaching insiders

Thanks for taking care of us.

Isma,
First of all, your English is AMAZING! Great job posting this!

All of this is just so AWESOME! Sarah had told me about the new Service team at church, but I had no idea about the rest of this too (new name, choosing new elders, etc.). Congratulations to Carmello, Sarah, Eugenio and Loles! All of these additions and changes are so exciting. And the website is great, and I like the name too. 136,000 people around your church? WOW, I will be praying that many more are impacted and come to know the Lord through the love and service you guys show to your community. Such a result of lots of prayer and giving glory to God! If the smile on MY Face right now is any indication of what GOD is probably feeling towards all of you, it must be pretty HUGE. (:

We are taking good care of Marc here, but I know what you mean Isma...it must be hard for you to know he's with us because it will be for me too if and when I see others in Spain with you guys. I LOVE you all so much. You are each like a piece of my family.

Give my love to Eva, Isaac and the rest of your church family too. Tell your brother to get his tail on email or facebook and write back (he'll know what you're talking about). And when Sarah's baby is born, make sure you let us know and send pictures!

Muchos Abrazos!
Carolina

Wow! It sounds like there is so much going on! Everytime I check the blog it makes me miss you all. After talking to Marc the other day and reading about all this, I just get excited about all that is going on. I am not sure how, but I truly hope that one day I will get to return even if it is a while from now. You all are making amazing progress. I am praying for you.
