Conectados BBQ

A couple of week ago we had a Conectados BBQ for everyone inolved in our small groups and for some who want to be part of it to spend time together gathering, sharing and talking about what is Conectados contributing to our lives.

As you guys can see in the pictures we really enjoyed the day.

You've changed our mind about how church can be done and we love it!!!

Two weeks before english camp in Sevilla

One of our best services ever

I just want to let you guys know what happened yesterday in Sitges.

We had the last service until September because our summer vacation break.

The title was "Make the most of your vacation time".


The preacher was Toni Bodego, he's a great communicator and a better guy. He came to preach a couple of months ago and yesterday he came with Chelo, his wife. They're a lovely couple.


Toni preached about how to enjoy the vacation, and make the most with friends, family, thinking about our live and about how we can work for the church, and also charging our batteries because when we'll be back there's a long road to walk, in our lives and in the church as well.

Previously we had an amazing worship time. This guys sound awesome!!!

More than 40 adults came yesterday to our church, around 10 for the first time and some of them told us, "we'll see you in september"...

Keep on praying for us because some of that people have kids and if we are having more kids coming we're gonna have a big issue because of our tiny facilities for them, and until we don't have the new building finished we'll not be able to do a nice program for them.

Night of prayer and celebration with the volunteers

Este viernes hemos tenido un tiempo especial de oración y celebración en la iglesia.  

• Queríamos dar gracias a Dios por lo que ha hecho hasta aquí desde que comenzamos en el parque.  
• Queríamos pedir por nuestros amigos y vecinos no cristianos.
• Y queríamos animar y celebrar con los voluntarios todo el trabajo que cada uno está haciendo por la Iglesia.  

Os hemos tenido a todos en nuestros pensamientos y en nuestras oraciones. Gracias por formar parte de Parque Este y de nuestras vidas.

Vilanova updates

Ok, since the English Academy is finished and we didn't want to steal their thunder i'm gonna update how everything is going on in Vilanova.

Grupo 5/14
This is the name of our service project department. Sarah Andrews is in charge of and she's been in touch with the City Hall and the Red Cross to know how we can cooperate with them.
We're gonna start working with impared people, kids and selling things in a market to get money for some projects.
She's working also with some ideas to serve the area.

We just had finished our elders election process and this is the line up:

Conectados (Small Groups)
We're finishing our Conectados season, it's been a very succesfull time praying, sharing and getting deep in our relationship with God.
We're gonna start a new group in september because of new people attending to church wants to experience what Conectados is.

New name and new website
In order to think big and since we don't know when we're gonna move to Vilanova we changed our name to Iglesia Cristiana del Garraf. We've changed Cristiana instead of Protestante because we don't want to close our door to those who don't like other christian churches but don't really know what Protestante really means and would be weird.
Garraf is the name of the area with a population of 136.000 people. The main cities are Vilanova, Sitges, Sant Pere de Ribes and Cubelles.
As we changed our name we have new web address now you can find us at www.iglesiadelgarraf.com, the website is now almost finished.

New building
Julian is doing a great job rethinking some things and getting the new building more practical and fitting more people.
